Addiction Treatment

Suboxone and Subutex Vivitrol Injection Sublocade Injection

The Spine and Joint Pain Center offers specialized addiction treatment for individuals struggling with alcoholism, opioid dependence, or substance abuse.

We understand that each patient experiences addiction differently, which is why we create personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs for effective recovery.

Suboxone and Subutex

Both Suboxone and Subutex are FDA-approved for the treatment of opioid addiction. The key difference is that Suboxone contains both buprenorphine and naloxone, while Subutex contains only buprenorphine.

Buprenorphine is classified as a Schedule III substance, meaning it has a lower potential for abuse compared to other opioids. Because of this, buprenorphine is often considered a safer alternative to methadone for opioid treatment.

Vivitrol Injection

Vivitrol is a long-acting injectable form of naltrexone, designed to treat opioid use disorder and alcohol use disorder (alcoholism). As part of a comprehensive treatment program, Vivitrol helps reduce cravings and prevents individuals from feeling the urge to use alcohol or opioids, supporting long-term recovery.

Sublocade injection

The buprenorphine extended-release injection is approved for the treatment of moderate to severe opioid use disorder in patients who have already started treatment with a buprenorphine-containing medication and undergone dose adjustment for at least seven days.

SUBLOCADE should be used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan that includes counseling and psychosocial support. For patients who do not qualify for outpatient treatment, referrals to intensive outpatient or inpatient programs may be recommended for additional care.
